It is truly unfortunate to see that our nation’s decision-makers are so disrespectful. I am ashamed as an American to see this and other acts of intolerance, especially by those who are supposedly making the best decisions for our nation. Rather than be open-minded, they have reduced themselves to name-calling kindergartners. *Sigh*

According to Bill, all Atheists are jealous of Christians because Christians have Christmas and all Atheists don’t celebrate Christmas. There is nothing in the advertisement that attacks Christianity.
I’m an Atheist and I do celebrate Christmas. However, I do not celebrate it because of religion and the ever-popular, “Of course it’s about Christ, it says CHRIST-mas doesn’t it?” I celebrate Christmas because I believe in being generous, kind, and spending time with family and friends during the holidays.
Being an Atheist doesn’t automatically make me a fire-breathing heathen. I’m a pretty nice and accepting person who happens to be an Atheist.I’d just appreciate a less ignorance and a little more acceptance.

2I understand how some people won’t shop at stores because their merchandise was manufactured in sweat shops or they are just too pricey. But…not because they don’t embrace an individual’s personal opinion of Christmas?
I’m sorry that companies want to be diverse and acknowledge other holidays and festivals and that you feel a little left out because the word “Christmas” was not mentioned.
Personally, the fact that diversity is being embraced by companies gives me all the more reason to shop somewhere.
